- In
December, several members of our Shire visited Hawkland Moor's Wassail
to present them with a little present. We wanted to pay homage to
them, thanking them for their sponsorship when we went for full status.
As it has been 7 years, we gave them a wooden chest, filled with
7 items of 7 different things. It was well received & enjoyed
by all!
On the 27th of December, we held our Business Meeting at Buffalo Wild Wings in Mt. Clemens, and held a fundraiser that night - it went very well!
This past weekend (January 15th), we had a great BOTIS Planning Meeting (thank you Michelle & Chris for letting us invade your home). After the meeting was complete, we held our very first Texas Hold'em Tourney with the proceeds going to the BOTIS fund! We had a lot of fun and made $60 for the event! Thanks to Thorfin for setting it up!
19 November 2010
There were several members of our Shire at the event It Takes My Child to Raze a Village. We all had a blast! Many of the young members of our shire did their part in the razing of the village! Caitlyn did us proud by becoming the Division 2 Rapier Champion; Seth and Allison battled in the Division 2 boffer tourney; Jon battled in the Division 3 boffer tourney and John & Brandon battled in the Division 1 boffer tourney! Many of the kids also tried their hand on the archery field, participated in craft projects and battled at the end of the day in a rousing game of PLAGUE.
Congratulations to our newest officers - Nicole Hanna (Minister of Arts & Sciences) and Chris Hogan (Fighter Marshal).
HOOBAH and JOB WELL DONE to Courtney Bocci (ex-Minister of Arts & Sciences) and Mike Foster (ex-Figher Marshal) for your hard work and dedication to the group in your previous positions.

It was a bright, crisp fall day, when our very own Russ (now named Angus), stole victory from a field of over a dozen archery combatants. The competitions included a 30 second timed shoot for as many arrows you could let loose. A wild grouse, a rabbit and a fallow deer were sacrificed for Their Excellencies’ feast. Among the excitement, two berzerking Vikings were also taken down by all. It was a fabulous day when the Vikings came home.
Congratulations Angus - you have made your Shire proud!
